Product Description

 The 3.8% Citric Acid Sodium Vacuum blood collection tube is designed for collecting blood samples while preventing coagulation with the sodium citrate additive, ensuring sample stability. Sodium citrate acts as an anticoagulant by chelating with calcium ions in the blood sample, inhibiting the coagulation process. This tube is commonly used for coagulation tests, with a citric acid sodium concentration of 3.8% (0.129 mol/L) and a 1:9 ratio with the blood sample. Gentle inversion of the blood sample and anticoagulant is necessary post-collection to prevent clotting. For coagulation testing, plasma extraction through centrifugation is required for accurate results.
